In English, we read the story, ‘Mama Panya’s Pancakes’ together and answered comprehension questions on the text. Today, the children were given a variety of instructional texts and were asked to highlight the regular features of instructional writing. This is in preparation for writing our own instructions next week.

During humanities, we learnt about the equator and located its positioning through Africa. We also learnt about the history of Ghanaian Kente Cloth and the children had a go at making their own Kente Cloth by weaving paper together – they look amazing!

Miss Bee was very impressed at how quickly Year 2 have learnt their lines for the Christmas performance. Please continue to practise regularly at home and remember to read expressively!
