Our Year 2 pupils enjoyed an exciting Transition Day at Prep, giving them a wonderful opportunity to experience life in Year 3 ahead of their move in September. The girls also joined for the day’s activities, making it a memorable occasion for everyone.

The day began with guided tours of the Prep site, led by current Year 6 pupils, who proudly showed the children around their classrooms and shared what they enjoy most about Prep life. The boys and girls also took part in a lively question-and-answer session, where they were able to ask about everything from lessons and playtimes to clubs and daily routines. A fun interactive quiz helped test their knowledge and sparked even more excitement about the year ahead.

After lunch and time spent enjoying the playground together, the pupils took part in a scooter skills workshop. Through a series of activities and challenges, they practised balance, coordination and confidence while having lots of fun with their friends.

The Transition Day was a fantastic way for the children to familiarise themselves with the Prep environment, meet staff and pupils, and begin looking forward to the next stage of their school journey with confidence.
