Year 3 enjoyed a vibrant and creative food workshop as they made their own rainbow wraps.

Before getting started, pupils learned about the different food groups and discussed what makes a healthy, balanced diet. They explored how eating a variety of foods – especially colourful fruits and vegetables – helps keep our bodies strong and energised.

The young chefs then set to work assembling their wraps using a wide selection of colourful fillings. Ingredients included spinach, tomato, sweetcorn, avocado, beetroot, raisins, cheese, carrot and cucumber, creating a wonderful burst of colour across the tables.

Many pupils used the vegetables to design playful faces inside their wraps, turning their healthy snack into edible works of art – from smiling beetroot mouths to cucumber eyes and carrot hair.
