We had a memorable and immersive visit to Shakespeare’s Globe, where our learning focused on the gripping tragedy of Macbeth.

The day began with a guided tour of the iconic theatre. Pupils explored the unique circular design and discovered how plays would have been performed in Elizabethan times. Sitting in the galleries helped them imagine what it would have been like to watch Shakespeare’s work over 400 years ago.

In the workshop, the young actors explored scenes from Macbeth, analysing character motivations, mannerisms and status. Through collaborative activities, they created powerful moments of tension and drama while developing their confidence and teamwork skills.

Throughout the visit, pupils asked thoughtful questions, showing curiosity about both the play and the theatre itself. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience Shakespeare beyond the classroom and see their learning come alive.
