Track and field athletics is the key focus of PE lessons during the summer term; the boys receive coaching in a wide variety of events ranging from the sprints to shot put.
The culmination of the programme of work is the School’s annual Sports Day held on the impressive grounds of the Senior School. Year 6 boys are also given the opportunity to represent the School at events. The London Regional Prep Schools’ Athletics Competition is held at Thames Valley Athletic Stadium, Eton, where in 2019 a Hampton Pre Prep & Prep boy won the 800m race, set a new event record and qualified for the national finals at Birmingham. The boys also compete at the Epsom College Annual Cross Country event where our pupils have regularly placed in the top 20 and a former pupil recently won the event.
