Today has been one of the most exciting of the school year so far! It was much more fun than we could have even imagined to have the whole school together on the grass at the Prep, in glorious spring sunshine, to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. The crown parade was excellent, with plenty of imagination, effort and great flair in evidence which is typical of the boys and girls here, as they proudly wore crowns that really were fit for a king or a queen.
There was very jubilant singing courtesy of Miss Bee, an excellent picnic lunch for all and Mrs Tinkler surprised us all (even me!) as she and one or two other colleagues had secretly organised for an ice cream van to arrive on site just in time to provide an ice cream treat for everyone.
- Marking this historic occasion? (tick!)
- Enjoying ourselves? (double tick!)
- A party that we think the Queen herself would have enjoyed? (a very Royal tick indeed!)
