The Bulletin – Edition 31

Year 6 parents will have received the link to the Year 6 Boys’ joint photograph this morning. I expect it will have swollen parents’ hearts with great joy to see such a super bunch of excellent fellows looking so happy and accomplished. It certainly did for me! I have been very proud of the Year 6 boys this year. It was a great pleasure to work with colleagues in Term 1 and to carefully consider the progress the boys were making in lessons and preps, as they were prepared for their 11+ entrance exams. Term 2 saw some entrance exams take place, and then the inevitable roll out of results and offers and the boys really did themselves proud in that respect, with multiple offers from a terrific range of schools. This term we have been focusing on their Leaver’s Programme, which is close to concluding. Through each and every activity, including their residential trip to Dorset, the boys have displayed unvarnished and very cheerful enthusiasm, they have been polite and remembered to thank the adults who have been supervising or leading them, and they have all learnt plenty, ahead of beginning their exciting new adventures at their new schools in September. They really are a wonderful bunch of boys and we are looking forward to celebrating their success in style at our Prize Giving next Thursday evening!
