Last Friday’s annual Shakespeare performance was a little different this year. The boys in Year 5 delivered a captivating afternoon of Shakespearean delights, whisking the audience through, Macbeth’s eerie world, A Midsummer Night’s Dream’s playful mischief, and Romeo and Juliet’s timeless romance to name but a few of the plays on show. Performing confidently on a traverse stage, the boys rose brilliantly to this new, intimate setting, demonstrating impressive theatrical flair and enthusiasm. The wonderful atmosphere was enhanced by plenty of tasty treats, making it a truly memorable occasion. The pupils’ polished performances showcased their talent and dedication, creating a fantastic whirlwind tour through Shakespeare’s most iconic works, all of course expertly prepared, rehearsed, organised and above all wonderfully well supported by Miss Bee. Truly a triumph for Year 5!
