In our dedicated Art room we aim to develop life-long artists. Knowledge, success and enjoyment are all key to promoting a love of art.
We believe that learning skills and techniques in art and design gives children an additional language, a visual one, that provides another means by which to express ideas and process thoughts. We are committed to ensuring children understand that they live in a visual world and are constantly interpreting images and inferring meaning from their visual environment. Through developing a knowledge of key artworks and movements from a wide range of artists and craftspeople they can develop a vocabulary to discuss the visual world and identify skills and processes to interpret it in their unique voice.
