By the time parents read this, the boys in Year 4 will have returned triumphant but I do not doubt somewhat worn out from their exciting two-night residential camping excursion in the woodlands adjacent to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. There was a fantastic array of challenging activities for the boys to enjoy, which included bushcraft skills, SOS survival skills and team building tasks where they all learnt a great deal more about themselves and of course each other. My huge thanks to the colleagues who accompanied them and also braved two nights under canvas! These sorts of trips cement everything we say and consider in assemblies and Life Skills lessons about the importance of being outward facing, being resilient and being kind. I am so glad the Year 4 boys had such a wonderful time putting the ‘theory into practice’ this week!
