It goes without saying that education has been transformed as schools and teachers make the most of established and emerging digital technologies. We are no exception in that respect; only yesterday the Prep teaching staff enjoyed an excellent training session from colleagues at Hampton School on some software widely in use there, which will enhance how and what we teach even further across both our sites.
Safer Internet Day is taking place at the beginning of February this year. We are (as usual!) operating ahead of the curve on this here and we are marking Internet Safety Day in two parts here at the Pre-Prep & Prep with e-safety workshops for pupils today and on Monday. Mrs Murphy wrote to all parents about these events recently, and invited you to attend a parents’ workshop on Monday 31 January, starting at 8.45am in the James Hall at the Prep. There are still spaces available if any parents would like to come. Please email the office at the Prep to sign up.
If any parents cannot make that workshop, the nationally recognised internet safety champions at ‘parentzone’ https://parentzone.org.uk/home are running a free webinar for parents in the afternoon of 8 February. A link to the flyer promoting this webinar for parents can be found here . If the link does not work you may need to sign up to access it as a member. We strongly recommend everything ‘parentzone’ does on the internet safety front, so signing up would be a good idea in any case, I would say.
